福建。Fujian.

Starting off in Quanzhou (泉州), a major stop on the maritime Silk Road since medieval times, where influences from all over the world have shaped the culture and architecture, with the oldest surviving mosque in China. A stop inland to visit the tulous, the communal earthen buildings with enclosed living spaces traditional in Hakka communities. Ending up by the sea again, looking out from Xiamen (厦门) towards Taiwan on the other side of the strait.
